Ukrainian fighters destroyed positions of paratroopers from the 247th "Cossack" regiment of the Russian Armed Forces in the Southern Bug direction.
Nearly an entire company from the 247th "elite" Airborne Troops Regiment has been destroyed - its lists and documents were seized by Ukrainian fighters among other trophies.
This was reported by the Strategic Communications Centre (StratCom) of the AFU.
"In the Kherson direction, the Defence Forces destroyed the positions of the 247th regiment of the enemy airborne troops. A large number of trophies were captured. Including documentation. The overwhelming majority of those listed in the above documents are the 200s," the report reads.
Judging by the documents, it is the 4th motorized rifle company of the 247th Russian regiment. Its commander is Captain Shchetikhin (probably liquidated).
The exact location of the Ukrainian forces' advance and destruction of the enemy defensive positions has not been disclosed. According to the DeepState operational map, the stronghold of the 247th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces is located near the village of Vostochne in the Muzykivka rural community of Kherson District, Kherson Region. According to OC South, the command post of the 247th Airborne Assault Regiment in Chornobaivka was destroyed by AFU missile and artillery units at the end of August.

However, it is unlikely that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have advanced this far into the enemy rear. In 2022 units of the regiment became involved in the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. In March 2022 it was reported that the commander of the 247th Guards Airborne Assault Cossack Regiment, Colonel Konstantin Zizievsky, was liquidated - at that time the regiment's paratroopers unsuccessfully stormed Kyiv. They were later redeployed to the southern direction.
